“Bluray Breakdown: The Fate of the Furious”

One massive film from 2017 was released on bluray this week, and its The Fate of the Furious. The Fast franchise continues to get crazier and better with each passing film. The distributor is trying something new with this release. You can only watch the extended cut of the film through the digital version. Is this the beginning of the bluray phase out?

There’s some neat special features here. A breakdown of the opening scene and the Cuban culture. You’re brought inside the family dynamic and car culture as well. These features give you a nice look into the heart of the movie. After all, cars and family is what this franchise hangs it’s hat on. I especially enjoyed the stunt feature.

Director, F. Gary Grey delivers a good commentary. He did a brilliant job directing this film. Coming off of James Wan, and Justin Lin’s films, no one knew how this movie would work in new hands. He definitely knocked it out of the park. Getting a look into the mind of the director mind is always worth your time.

Fate of the Furious is a good bluray to add to your collection. Will you be downloading the extended cut on digital?
